XPS720 heatsink and fan good enough for X6800?

​hi,​

​Is the standard XPS710 heatsink and fan good enough for the X6800 cpu? if not, can I just simply fit any new heatsink and fan (such as an NorthQ water cooler heatsink/fan)? I`ve seen it recommended that a water type should be used​
